THE WORLD OF JOBGROUP
Press release
Wednesday, February 27, 2019
As safe and leakage free filtration for filter presses is growing in importance, JobGroup AB expands its portfolio with new products and strengthens its in-house competences and capabilities through the acquisition of Limburg Filter’s Leaktite technology. All Leaktite production equipment will soon be transferred to the head quarters of JobGroup in Kinna, Sweden.
Leaktite is a brand name for gasketed filter cloths to suit filter plates. The gasket is made of thermoplastic elastomer and can be bonded to almost any filter fabric. It was invented by Frank Kruip of Limburg Filter, who wanted filter presses become safer to operate and make gasketed cloths easier-to-fit.
In addition to fitting and safety enhancements the technology can also give significant financial benefits particularly where the filtrate is the clients product. Zero leakage equals zero losses of product.
Job Group is one of the few textile/engineering process companies in Europe that keeps the entire production chain in-house – from the fiber to the finished product. Rutger Bornefalk, president of JobGroup: “Strengthening our in-house manufacturing competence is another important step in our portfolio strategy. The acquisition of Leaktite will expand our capabilities and competences in the advanced filtration business further. With additional focus on filter business led by our international sales force, we will endeavor to expand Leaktite products rapidly and invest in the development of this technology for future applications.”
Frank Kruip, managing director of Limburg Filter:”I’m glad that JobGroup will have our robotized welding equipment on board as it will fit perfectly into their manufacturing process. Leaktite cloths will be made from filament to finished product under one roof. It will not only help us reduce delivery time but also – supported by a strong financial and strategic partner like JobGroup – boost product development.”

Implementing a new industry
Job | Group is involved in implementing a new industry for Central Ostrobothnia in Finland. Sibanye-Stillwater's Keliber lithium project consists of mines, the Keliber lithium refinery in Kokkola Industrial Park (KIP) and the concentrator in Päiväneva, Kaustinen. Both plants are under construction. Sibanye-Stillwater’s Keliber lithium project intends to produce responsibly processed lithium hydroxide which is utilized for example in the lithium battery industry. The growing demand for hybrids, plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and electric vehicles (EVs) is driving a strong demand for lithium.
Job | Group has been chosen as a partner to implement the dust removal systems of both plants and thus contribute to ensuring a clean working environment for the plants and minimal emissions into the atmosphere.
